History

After decades, there is still something special about a great t-shirt. The roots of the Phoenix Group began back in the early 1970’s with Jay Cohen starting his own T-shirt company to supply his growing arcade business in Atlanta, GA. The entrepreneurial Jay Cohen saw the opportunity and the power of custom branded apparel and never looked back.

Soon, the Company was one of the largest screen-printing t-shirt suppliers in the country focused on the
music industry.

Customers included many of the top acts touring the United states – ABBA, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, and The Rolling Stones to name a few.Those decades of experience and vast merchandising knowledge are the foundation for our business today.

The company’s customer base soon expanded from the fast growing music industry to the beverage industry and food industry and NASCAR. It was not long before his company was supplying corporate branded apparel, promotional apparel and products for companies as diverse as the Coca Cola Company, Miller Brewing Company, Blimpie’s, Hooters and many more.

In 2008, The Phoenix Group expanded into the high end resort apparel industry through its purchase of Sope Creek.

Today, The Phoenix Group offers a broad array of corporate branded apparel and promotional products to companies across the industrial spectrum.
